Purpose of the website

This website provides private information to invited guests of Daniel & Francesca’s wedding. It contains information about the celebration, a photo gallery and a way to upload photos.

Hosting and server log files

The website is hosted by IONOS. When the website is accessed, the hosting provider processes technically necessary access data so that the website can be displayed and operated securely and reliably. This may include the IP address, date and time of access, pages accessed, amount of data transferred, browser type, operating system, referrer URL and server status.

The processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legitimate interest lies in the secure and reliable operation of the website. A data processing agreement with the hosting provider should be concluded before publication if required for the chosen tariff.

Cookies and tracking

As currently configured, this website does not use analytics tools, advertising tracking or a newsletter. No marketing cookies are set. WordPress or individual technical functions may use technically necessary cookies where required for operation, login or security.

Photo upload by guests

Guests can upload photos via the website. During upload, the selected image files and optionally the entered name are processed. The photos are stored in the WordPress media library and may automatically appear in the website gallery.

Please only upload photos that you are allowed to share and that do not show people in a way that conflicts with publication. If you would like a photo to be removed, you can contact us at the address above at any time.

The processing is based on Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR where guests voluntarily upload photos, and on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for operating the private wedding gallery.

Gallery and image display

The website displays selected photos of the couple as well as images uploaded by guests. Photos may contain names, faces or other identifiable personal information. The gallery is intended for the private wedding context.

Storage period

Personal data and photos are stored only as long as they are needed to operate the wedding website or until deletion is requested. After the wedding period, the website may be deactivated, exported or deleted.

Recipients of data

Data may be technically processed by the hosting provider IONOS. Data is not passed on to third parties for advertising purposes. Uploaded photos are published only within the website gallery.

Rights of data subjects

Data subjects have the right, under the GDPR, to access, rectification, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability and objection to certain processing activities. Where processing is based on consent, that consent can be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future.

There is also the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
